How should I prepare for my lash appointment?

Please arrive with completely clean lashes, free of mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, oils, and makeup. Avoid using oily eye creams or makeup removers beforehand, as residual oils affect glue retention. Do not curl your lashes on the day of your appointment. We also recommend wearing glasses instead of contact lenses, as your eyes remain closed throughout the treatment.

How do I properly clean and wash my lash extensions?

Gently wash your lashes daily using a lash-safe foaming cleanser and our soft cleansing brush. Lightly work the foam through your lash line with downwards motions to remove natural oils, dust, and makeup residue, then rinse thoroughly with cool water. Pat dry around the eyes with a lint-free towel and gently brush them through with a clean spoolie once dry.

What comes inside the Pretty Glow Studios aftercare kits?

Our custom lash aftercare kits include a bottle of lash-safe foaming shampoo, a soft cleansing brush for washing your lashes, a spoolie brush for daily styling, and a cute compact bag to keep everything together and clean at home or on the go.

What are your golden rules for long-lasting lash retention?

Keep your lashes clean by washing them regularly with lash cleanser, brush them gently once a day with a spoolie, and avoid pulling or picking at extensions. Always avoid oil-based skincare, cleansers, or heavy creams around the eye area, and sleep on your back or use a silk pillowcase to prevent friction.

How often do I need to book lash infills?

Infills are recommended every 2 weeks to keep your lash set full and tidy. During an infill, outgrown extensions are safely removed and fresh lashes are applied to new natural lash growth. Waiting longer than 2 to 3 weeks may require a full set appointment.

Can I pay for my appointment with Afterpay?

Yes, we offer Afterpay so you can comfortably split the cost of your lash sets, refills, and brow services into four flexible, interest-free fortnightly payments.

Which lash extension style should I choose?

We offer Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Mega Volume, and Russian Volume sets. If you love a natural mascara finish, Classic or light Hybrid is ideal. For a fluffier, fuller, and more glamorous look, we recommend Volume or Russian Volume. We will gladly consult with you at the start of your appointment to tailor the set to your eye shape.

Will lash extensions damage my natural eyelashes?

Not at all when applied correctly! At Pretty Glow Studios, we carefully isolate each natural lash and select weights and lengths that protect your natural lash health. Following our aftercare instructions and avoiding picking will ensure your natural lashes remain strong and healthy.
